Tia knows he is a wealthy man so she lies about what she does so he doesn't feel sorry for her. They end up running into each other again when she is learning how to ski so he offers to teach her. They learn that their kids are becoming fast friends so they make plans to hang out more together. By the end of her trip she knows that she's falling for him but she has told him the truth about what she does. So she tries to make a clean break and returns to her own life. What she doesn't know is that Maxim can't forget her and is coming to West Virginia to find her. Will he forgive her lie? Can they be together with how different they are?This is a great story that will draw you in from the first page. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another great read by Holly Rayner. I really loved the characters Tia and Maxim. They were interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written with a happily ever after. If you like single dad romances, you will enjoy this book. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.

I am an opera singer, and was looking for some lesser-known spirituals to add to my repertoire, and this book has quite a few. They have accompaniments ranging from simple to moderately advanced. However, the preface -rather extensive- explains the methodology of the writing and performing of the songs, as was understood by the Johnson brothers, James Weldon and J. Rosamond. It's a great purchase, and invaluable to those of us who are interested in furthering our knowledge of this genre, and continuing to teach others about the contribution of spirituals to our lives and music today.
I used several of these amazing arrangements in my recital. I was very happy to include this edition in my music making!
This is perhaps the best compilation of African American Spirituals. Both of editor James Weldon Johnson's volumes are included as are his excellent introductions. The introductions alone are worth the price of the book and more. Johnson's brother provides the arrangement, as close as possible to the most likely way(s) in which they were originally sung. The words themselves are also as close as possible to the original wording. "The Book of the American Negro Spirituals" provides a first-hand accounting of the lyrical majesty and the creative genius of the enslaved African Americans as they integrated Christian truth into their daily suffering.Reviewer: Bob Kellemen, Ph.D., is the author of "Beyond the Suffering: Embracing the Legacy of African American Soul Care and Spiritual Direction."
